Fun Packed Activities for Young People

At Cox Green Scout Group (21st Maidenhead or 1st Cox Green) we offer an exciting and varied programme of activities every week which will challenge and entertain even the most demanding of young people.  Whether you are 6 or 18 there's something for young people.

For our youngest members aged 6 to 8 there is the Beaver Colony that meets weekly on Monday evenings.  There are lots of interesting activities offered with enthusiastic leaders.
For ages 8 to 10 there are 2 seperate Cub groups which hold weekly meetings and run a very lively programme.  The Colin Barton group meets on Tuesday evenings and the John Williams group meets on Thursday evenings.
For ages 10 to 13 there is a Scout Troop which meets Friday evenings and often have activities which will run over the weekend, most of which take place outdoors.
Finally there are the Explorers. This group of young men and women meet Friday evenings and will always be doing something new and exciting whether it be survival training or trips away to climb some of the UK's largest mountains. The explorers also take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, an award regularly achieved by members in the group.
This site will hopefully give you all the information which you need to make the choice to become a member of Cox Green Scout Group. But if you require any further information please don't hesitate in contacting us.

The group runs various activities throughout the year such as race night, quiz night, Christmas Fayre, BBQ's, etc. and wishes all parents and guardians to be involved either as a helper or by just turning up.
The group organises various camps throughout the year which includes a family camp.
